Key duties and responsibilities
  • Proactive new business generation with a focus on Germany, Austria, France, Italy, and other assigned countries within Europe 

  • Managing existing relationships for growth through valued account management and up-selling new solutions

  • Managing  a robust pipeline by sourcing new opportunities

  • Collaborating with the development team on shaping the offer

  • Engaging and communicating effectively with senior (often C-level) decision-makers

  • Accurately maintaining and developing our prospect/client database

  • Developing a high level of knowledge across a broad range of company products and services

  • Attending industry conferences and events with the aim of developing new business 

  • Monitor and analyze the drug discovery market trends

  • Provide insights into the Business Unit strategy

Requirements
  • A Master’s degree is required, Ph.D. is an additional plus, preferably in a life sciences-related area

  • Min. 5 years of sales of services or consulting experience in the pharmaceutical/biotechnology sector is required

  • Knowledge of AI/ML, bioinformatics/data science/software engineering required

  • Fluent English – verbal and written, at least C1 level

  • Strong commercial acumen with experience in presenting to senior decision-makers in the Pharma/Biotech sector

  • Consultative, solution-oriented approach 

  • Excellent presentation, verbal and written communication skills

  • A motivated individual who thrives in a fast-paced, target-driven environment

  • Focused and output-driven, with time management skills, meeting deadlines

  • Self-starting, flexible, and Team-player, comfortable with working with a group

  • Proven experience working in a similar role would be a plus

  • High personal standards, a willingness to learn, and an upbeat personality

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Sandler Selling System experience is nice to have
